The Fitness Club staff takes great pride in assisting our Larksfield Place community members in maintaining and improving their functional fitness with quality of life. Those of us who work at the Fitness Club find it difficult to consider this “work”– after all, this is our passion! Together we have more than 60 years of professional training and health promotion experience. We invite you to experience the energy, strength and independence fitness affords by taking classes, exercising on the fitness equipment, or through guidance with your own fitness specialist. All services are adaptable to your ability.

Fitness Classes
  • Yoga :: Reap the benefits of strength, vitality and flexibility while stretching away stress. This ancient exercise technique will relax stiff joints and muscles, reduce stress and possibly provide relief from pain. (Includes chair-based option.)
  • VitaBand :: Our clinically proven program will make you strong and significantly decrease the rate of bone loss, which is a leading cause of broken bones in older men and women.
  • Strength with Weights :: A variety of conditioning exercises that will strengthen your upper and lower body with range of motion.
  • Water Fitness :: An excellent class to improve flexibility, cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength.
  • Men Only Water Fitness :: A basic water fitness class tailored for men that includes cardiovascular conditioning, muscular strength and flexibility.
  • Fall Avoidance :: For those who have a fear of falling, feel unsteady on their feet, or want to prevent falls in the future. Includes a variety of conditioning exercises and activities to better your balance and coordination.
  • Gentle Fitness :: Personalized, gentle fitness exercises will enhance proper body mechanics, strength, mobility and safety. Targets those who use assisted devices (i.e., cane, walker, wheelchair).
  • Gentle Water Fitness :: For those who have limited range of motion due to arthritis, joint or muscular-skeletal injuries/diseases. The heated water is healthy and therapeutic. Upon request, staff will be available for personal assistance.

Monday thru Thursday :: 7am-noon and 1-4pm
Friday :: 7am-noon and 1-3:30pm
Saturday :: 8:30am-11am
